Connection groups are smaller groups of people who meet in apartments, homes, and dorm rooms all across the Corridor where people of different backgrounds come together as family in Christ Jesus. Each group meets to discuss the teaching from Sunday and how the truth learned is applied in real life. Groups pray together, eat together, laugh together, encourage one another, and help challenge each other in their walks with Christ.

The pathway to join a connection group is first through Starting Point which gives an overview of who we are, and then Launch Point which will lay a foundation for you to thrive in a connection group.

We believe it is essential to the mission of God that the people of God are well equipped for the work of God. In our mission to raise up mature disciples, we have contexts to grow people’s Biblical understanding in order to deepen their own relationship with Christ, as well as their effectiveness as ambassadors of Christ in our world. We do this through regularly offered classes and our partnership with the Veritas School of Theology.

Veritas classes are offered each fall and spring and cover a range of topics. All Veritas classes currently meet at our Cedar Rapids campus.

Deeper Dives are unique, one-time sessions that extend the exploration of Scripture from our Sunday gatherings, offering a journey into personal holiness and godly habits through in-depth community discussions. Each session provides practical steps and authentic fellowship, empowering you to live out the truths encountered in a single, impactful gathering.

Veritas School of Theology (VST) is a year-long program of seminary level classes aimed at developing a robust biblical and theological foundation through the context of the local church. These courses can be taken at a foundations level or for master’s level credit through Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City. Applications open in early spring, with classes beginning in the summer. VST happens in partnership with Veritas Church Iowa City and Candeo Church in Cedar Falls.

We believe the deepest, most helpful solutions to our problems come through Jesus. Throughout the challenges and struggles in life we all at times need another believer to come alongside to help us unpack how the Gospel applies to our struggles in relationships, issues from our past, or ongoing patterns of sin. 

We help connect people at Veritas for discipleship through these struggles with the goal of reengaging in the regular rhythm of connection groups for ongoing community and care. We call this process Gospel Shepherding.

We believe a fruitful life is directly connected to our closeness to God. We provide books and resources to help spur on your own personal relationship with Christ.
