What was life like before you met Jesus?

My life was a mess. In my childhood, there were a lot of drugs, alcohol, and abuse. At the time, I went to church with my grandparents every Sunday I was with them. When my biological mom lost custody of me I was a little annoyed with Christ. I really only went to Christ for things that didn't really matter. I didn't fully understand who or what he was. After I went to foster care, I got a little mad at Christ because I loved my grandparents. Still, I didn't know Christ as I should. After losing my grandma, I understood I needed Christ but wasn't in the right house to go to church.

How did you meet Jesus?

After losing my grandma, so many things were running through my head. I was still lost. My brother was kicked out of my foster home and moved to a better place. After moving back with him, I started going to church and youth group on Wednesday nights. After a little while, my brother and I were adopted. I have a new mom who loves me. My biological mom is no longer in my life. Years passed and my friends started getting baptized. I kept thinking that was the "cool" thing to do. I could feel God pushing against getting baptized because my heart wasn't in the right spot. One night after youth group I was really stressed about so many things that were going on and as I was praying, I started to cry a lot. I could feel Christ moving in my heart - I believed then I asked my mom if I could get baptized! I have never been the same since that night.

After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?

I have been so much happier and I understand that bad things happen, but He is still there to comfort, forgive, and help me. He will never leave or forsake me and I am ready to show that I believe in Him. If I am ever having a hard time, I think about Christ and what he has done for me and feel so much better. I want to be baptized to show that I am going to be with Jesus forever because he saved me and to show others that even if you are going through a hard time, Christ will be with you through it all.
