What was life like before you met Jesus?
I was very reckless and selfish before I was saved. I thought since I had the materialistic things in life I was ok. However, I was a drug addict I took life for granted and shamed the Lord's name in vain, and blamed him for every terrible thing that happened to me. Until one day I was left with nothing. I was sitting on the curb and I screamed I need help I surrender for the next 3 years I saw nothing.
How did you meet Jesus?
During my last year being homeless, I met this incredible woman who asked me if I wanted to go to church and I said sure. That morning we attended Veritas as I was listening to the music I started feeling something I couldn't stop laughing and crying at the same time. When the music stopped I felt the most amazing peace, I then realized that Jesus saved me. I felt as if it didn’t matter what happened next, everything was gonna be ok. The verse that helped change me was Psalm 50:22-23 “Mark this, then, you who forget God, lest I tear you apart, and there be none to deliver! The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me; to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God!”
After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?
Today I thank the Lord every time I wake up and I worship him instead of blaming him. I know it was never his fault. I also understand more of how he works. I read my Bible every day and I try to teach others about what Jesus has done for me.
