What was life like before you met Jesus?
I feel I have always known about Christ however I didn't always make Him a priority. I have really tried these last couple of years to make Him a priority in not only my life but my family's. I felt the presence of Christ was lacking in my life and when I found myself in some darker times is when I would reach out trying to form a better relationship. I decided it shouldn't be only when I am facing dark days but to celebrate and glorify Him every day
How did you meet Jesus?
When we were going through troubling times in our marriage is when I decided I needed to make a change in my own perception and allow Jesus to have more of an active role in my life. I went to visit my aunt and uncle for a weekend and was looking for some inspiration, which is when I found the verse 'Do not worry about anything, instead pray about everything' from Philippians 4:6-7. I felt this deep inside my soul as I tend to be a control freak and I realized I needed to turn things over to Jesus. I bought a necklace with this verse inscribed on the cross and cut the verse out and still have it on my mirror (almost 2 years later) in our bedroom to remind me of this truth every day.
After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?
Christ is contributing to my life by reminding me daily to be thankful and blessed for I have the love of Him and always will. He continues to meet my needs by reminding me to enjoy life and praise Him for everything instead of being cynical and looking at things negatively. By his grace I continue to grow in this area! I continue to come back to John 3:16 'For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life' to remind me of my eternity with Christ and how much love God has for all of his creation that he was willing to sacrifice his Son for us.
