What was life like before you met Jesus?
Before forming a relationship with God, I was uninformed about the Bible and felt less unity with him. It did not feel like a relationship but more of a tradition and laws.
How did you meet Jesus?
I went through confirmation at my church as a middle schooler. Throughout those months I felt God’s presence in many instances while diving into the Bible. This is also when I realized my purpose here on Earth. He created me to serve him. I remember how overwhelming his love was when going through the book of Matthew.
After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?
While going through high school and college my relationship with God has only grown. I was diagnosed with leukemia a little under a year ago. During this trying time and when I was first diagnosed God has been with me the entire way. When someone gets that initial diagnosis they often say they were scared. That honestly was not the case for me. I remember when I was first told I had leukemia and there was God immediately in the back of my mind telling me it’s okay, you are going to be okay, trust in Me. My relationship with Jesus Christ, my savior, is what has brought me through this past year. I honestly believe these struggles have a purpose, and it’s amazing how in the midst of them I have a solid rock to lean on. The relationship I have with God because Jesus Christ died for my sins is something I am so thankful for. I want to dedicate my entire life to serving Him. Luke 1:46-47 says, “oh how my soul praises the Lord. How my spirit rejoices in God my savior!”
