What was life like before you met Jesus?
Before I met Jesus I was lost in my sin. I thought I could do whatever I wanted. I cared too much about what people thought of me. I did not have any hope to be saved except for trusting in Jesus. I did not treasure God’s word or him.
How did you meet Jesus?
Going to East Iowa Bible camp I experienced a greater love for God’s word and understanding God. Teaching from church and my parents exposed me to God’s truths. Also going to the Creation Museum and the Ark in Kentucky made me let go of some lies and put in the real truths. I knew I could only be saved by the Holy Spirit and by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 says “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.”
After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?
After being saved by Jesus Christ he is working on my heart every day, showing me right and wrong. I have the power to defeat sin and death. He shows up in every aspect of my life whether it is hard or easy. Philippians 1:6 says “...being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
