What was life like before you met Jesus?
My life before accepting Christ was without direction. I was young and really living life for me. I attended church and youth group, but I didn't truly know the gospel. I was searching and empty.
How did you meet Jesus?
The summer of my 16th birthday I was blessed to be able to go to Bible camp. There I connected with a group of youth and their youth pastor. God worked on me that week, He touched my heart. He convicted me, I needed Him! One evening as they offered the opportunity to accept Christ I did. It was extremely powerful and I will never forget the overwhelming peace I felt, it changed my life. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” Romans 1:16.
After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?
Jesus has brought me so much comfort and peace over the many years. I have not always walked in His will but He is faithful and has brought me through many trials and difficult times. Even when I wandered and think I can do this on my own. He is faithful to His promises, like the loving Father He is, brings me to Him, and reminds me of the comfort and peace that only He can bring. He knows exactly what I need, to walk by faith daily with Him. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Phil 4:13 “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
