What was life like before you met Jesus?
As a child, I loved Jesus and all the stories about him. We went to church every Sunday and I went to Sunday School. The whole family stopped attending church during my teen years. My parents divorced and I started looking to the world to make me happy! I became a lover of self, money, pride, I was disobedient to my parents, ungrateful, and definitely unholy. (2 Timothy 3:2)
How did you meet Jesus?
My life was empty and shameful and I felt tremendous guilt for my lifestyle choices. I happened to see an evangelist, he was crying over all his sinful ways. I started crying too! I picked up my Bible looking for something that would help me see if there was any hope for me. This is what Jesus gave me. Isaiah 1:18 says, “Come now and let us reason together, says the Lord, Though your sins are like scarlet They shall be white as snow; Though they are red as crimson, they shall be as wool.”
After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?
Jesus showed me, “There is salvation in no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Act 4:12), “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) and “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Jesus Christ!” (Romans 8:1). Jesus is the Lord and Savior of My life. Life is no longer about me but Him.
