What was life like before you met Jesus?
Before I knew Christ I was lost in this world. I made a lot of bad choices in life, and couldn't find the strength within to change. I felt completely lost and hopeless and eventually I hit rock bottom.
How did you meet Jesus?
As I began to try and turn my life around, I was encouraged to find my higher power. I wasn't sure how to find what that was for me. I grew up Catholic, and went to a Catholic Church, but didn't feel connected to Christ in any way. Then I met a friend who sang in a local Evangelical church choir and decided to check it out. It was in the music that I first found Christ. Colossians 3:16 reads "Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.". It was through the songs from the spirit that my heart opened up and I began to know Christ.
After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?
I continued to attend church because of the feelings of hope and love that I felt in my soul through the music, but as I continued to attend, I also learned to put my faith in Christ rather than in myself. Once I put my faith in Jesus my life changed. I was given an amazing son, a career that I enjoy, and eventually married a wonderful man and gained two more wonderful children. I know now that I cannot do this thing called life alone. I put all of my faith in Jesus and I know that through faith I have been brought from death to life. Romans 3:22-24 "This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."
