What was life like before you met Jesus?
As a youth I was brought up going to Catholic Church every Sunday with catechism every Wednesday through the 8th grade, never knowing that I could have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ or what that looked like. As I got older the world’s doctrines became louder and louder and the church’s became quieter and quieter until I eventually fell away. “Other seed fell among rocks. It began to grow, but the plant soon wilted and died for lack of moisture. “ Luke 8:6
How did you meet Jesus?
By the time I reached my late teens/early twenties, I had made many wrong choices which led me to a path of hopelessness, sorrow, and depression. When I felt that I had nowhere else to turn I began to look back toward God and started going back to church, reading the Bible, and listening to Christian media. The more I learned the more I wanted to know and the more I knew the more I developed a hunger for the truth. “He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.” Psalms 40:2
After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?
I now know that whatever trials I face that I’m not alone, that God will work all things together for my good, and that I can give it all to him. “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” Romans 10:9-10
