What was life like before you met Jesus?
Before life with Jesus, I thought I had to earn my way to heaven, but now I know that He gave me eternal life with him by sending His only son to die for us. I struggled a lot with lying about simple things and putting time and effort into tasks that I didn't want to do. I was looking for the easy way out of things, and to do small amounts of work. I have started to worship God through music, youth group, and being at service on Sunday. This has made me grow in my love for God and wanting to know Him.
How did you meet Jesus?
Our family goes to church regularly and I started to draw connections to what the message was about. My parents are in a connection group and I saw the connections they were making with other people about God's grace and mercy and how He changed their lives. I have trusted Jesus by going to church to learn about Him. I am also trusting that He will fulfill His promise and give me an everlasting life with him. Colossians 3:23-24 says “ Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” This verse reminds me that I don’t have to try to impress people and I can be content in seeking to please the lord. I have accepted Jesus as my Savior, that is why I want to get baptized.
After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?
Sometimes I can be mean to my parents and have to face the consequences. I ask God for forgiveness from what I said when I was angry. I pray for the people who I have hurt to feel better, or those who are suffering. I want to continue to live like Jesus by - sharing the gospel, repenting when I do things that are wrong, and praying more often. A verse that makes me thankful is John 3:16 which says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” When I hear this verse, I am reminded that I will have eternal life because God sent His only son to
