What was life like before you met Jesus?
Before I met Christ, I had been lost in earthly things. I struggled with feeling accepted and loved and knew I was missing something in my life. I had tried to go to church, but I eventually lost the desire to learn about Jesus and what he did for me.
How did you meet Jesus?
I had graduated high school and was thinking about my next few years living on my own at college. Jesus helped me realize that I needed him for my journey and that I needed to start now. My cousin had told me about The Salt Company, so I started going and that’s where I found the love and desire to know Jesus. One of the main verses that stuck with me was Philippians 4:13 which says “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” This allowed me to understand that I was accepted and forgiven and loved by Jesus.
After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?
After I have been saved by Jesus, I know I have a purpose in life. I know now that living for Jesus is not just about the present and past, it is also about after death on earth and His eternal love for me. A verse that stands out to me is Proverbs 16:3 “commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” Knowing that the Lord is in control and being able to trust Him with my life is a large part of my commitment to the Lord.
