What was life like before you met Jesus?
Before I met Jesus my needs were off worldly temptations, filling my empty void with sin which only made my problems worse. I lacked a Shepherd to hold accountability in my life. I was truly putting myself on God's throne. I tried to party my emptiness away, but it never got me anywhere.
How did you meet Jesus?
Jesus came to me while I was stuck in sin and I didn't even know it, I came back to church to impress a girl, and little did I know how much it would change my life. The first month or so I completely tuned out the sermons, eventually I started listening and learned how broken I was. I slowly began repenting because I knew it was the right thing to do even though I didn't fully believe in Jesus yet. I kept pushing Jesus off because I felt I was so dirty for my past and the current sin I was struggling with, until I possibly couldn't block him out any longer, I had to fall to my knees and pray. I felt all the weight of my past fall off my shoulders. I refer to Ephesians 1:7, which says “In Him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace" because no matter how many I fell short in sin, his blood still washes it all away. I also married that girl I was telling you about.
After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?
After being saved I began living a life serving God and others. I know I can put my trust in Jesus always wherever life may take me. He provides me with everything I could ever need. I'm beyond blessed to be washed by Jesus's blood for a debt I could never repay, a verse that I look back on states “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.
