What was life like before you met Jesus?
I was a little kid and I did what I wanted most of the time. I was mean and selfish. I was not obedient to God. I couldn’t stop sinning, because it’s impossible to do that yourself. The Holy Spirit has to do that for you.
How did you meet Jesus?
I went to church every Sunday and learned about Jesus in my class, and talked to my mom and Dad about following Jesus. I learned that everybody sins (except for Jesus). Jesus died to take away our sins. We deserve God to punish our sins, and the punishment we deserve is to die. He died for our sins instead of us. It’s like a trade - Jesus took our punishment, and now we have a heart with no sin. Jesus died and was buried in a tomb, and then he came back to life. When I die, I believe that because of Jesus I will come back to life too!
After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?
I fight with my sisters less, and am more generous in sharing things that are important to me. I am becoming less selfish, and I recognize it more and am convicted more when I still continue to be selfish. I will follow Jesus forever, because no one can take us out of God’s hand. I like to read the bible and write songs for Jesus. I have lots of ideas of what to do when I'm bigger, but I might want to be a pastor to lead people to worship Jesus.
