General Vision

At Veritas Church, we believe the mission of God calls us to proactively go towards others with the good news of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we place a high value on being a church that sends out everyday missionaries into our community, to church plants, and overseas for the advancement of the gospel. The Sending Department at Veritas exists as a catalyst for sending all members of Veritas as everyday missionaries into classrooms, workplaces, neighborhoods, and to the ends of the earth.

The goal of this internship is to help you fall more in love with Jesus, gain practical ministry experience, discern your calling for ministry, engage in Christ-centered community, and grow a healthy vision for the local church.

Essential Job Functions

  • Cultivate missions awareness at Veritas Church.
  • Mobilize Salt Company and adult members toward the nations.
  • Strengthen our international welcoming ministry: Family Group.
  • Engage unreached peoples on campus and in the community, inviting Salt students or members of Veritas to join you.
  • Coach and debrief cross-cultural conversations, both before and after.
  • Disciple international students who regularly attend Family Group.
  • Facilitate cross-cultural discipleship book studies with Family Group Leaders.
  • Help develop Family Group Leader equipping material.
  • Plan, coordinate, and prepare flyers for Family Group socials.
  • Plan and prepare Global Prayer each month.
  • Review, refine, and help present material for classes that mobilize members to be engaged global Christians.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Biblical Theology - Informs a Biblical missiology.
  • Passion for the Great Commission - Demonstrated passion for the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
  • Discipleship - Life-on-life discipleship.
  • Cross-Cultural Understanding - Basic understanding of cross-cultural servanthood and evangelism.
  • Event Planning - Ability to plan and organize large group events.
  • Leadership - Ability to lead in a small group or classroom setting.

Education and Experience

  • Cross-cultural ministry experience is preferred.
