General Vision

Help lead Veritas Youth by leading other youth staff, discipling students, leading, caring for, and equipping the adult leaders who serve in our student ministry, and partnering with parents of teenagers in our church. 

Essential Job Functions 

• Care for, lead, and equip leaders
  

• Disciple and care for students
  

• Communicate clearly and effectively with students, leaders, and parents
  

• Be a part of our Wednesday Night teaching team
  

• Help plan, execute, and improve weekly environments and yearly events
  

• Attend and add value to weekly meetings
  

Required Qualifications

• Must be eligible for the pastoral process and meet the biblical requirements for Pastor/Elder
  

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
  

• Two years of experience in leading youth ministry or a related field
  

• Previous experience shepherding students and parents in the gospel
  

• Experience leading volunteer team of more than 20 people, preferred

• Detail Oriented & Organizational Skills - Proven skills in creating, implementing, maintaining, and following through on processes that ensure people are engaged, cared for, informed and connected. Ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Able to successfully develop new and better ways to work and promote a continuous improvement mentality.
  

• Leadership Development - Skilled at multiplying effective ministry leaders who can communicate and uphold the values of Veritas Church. Ability to lead, recruit, resource, and mobilize volunteer teams to scale. Ability to recruit, manage, and lead resident/intern teams. Ability to engage, interact with, teach, equip, and train students. Able to teach and to generate content and curriculum.
  

• Collaborative Leadership - Strong complementary leadership skills in relation to the rest of the congregation staff team and an ability to lead in concert with other leaders. Ability to integrate multiple perspectives and synthesize them into a cohesive plan. Ability to learn, improve and enforce the student safety policies.
