You’re a vital part of making Sunday happen.Without volunteers, Veritas Kids doesn’t run. Your work behind the scenes ensures that classrooms are covered, kids are safe, and parents can hear the gospel while their children do the same.You get to encourage and support our volunteers.You’ll be a relational touchpoint for those serving in Nursery, Early Childhood, and Elementary. A quick check-in, a thank-you, or a well-timed text goes a long way.You’ll build systems that serve people well.This role is about making sure the right people are in the right roles at the right time. You’ll use your organizational skills to create smooth processes and remove stress for families and volunteers.You’re part of a gospel-centered, team-oriented environment.You’ll work closely with the Family Ministry Pastor and other Kids staff to make Sunday mornings meaningful and well-supported.

⚠️ The Hard Stuff

You’ll need to be highly proactive.If you wait until the last minute to find volunteers or check availability, things fall apart quickly. This role requires anticipation, not reaction.You’ll manage moving pieces every week.Volunteers cancel. Schedules shift. People forget. You’ll need to stay calm and flexible while solving problems on the fly.You’ll sometimes feel like a human puzzle master.Coordinating who serves where, when, and with whom—while balancing preferences and ministry needs—takes time, patience, and attention to detail.Sunday mornings are a key part of the job.Your presence is needed on Sundays to support volunteers and troubleshoot in real time. You’re not just behind a desk—you’re part of the action.You’ll spend a lot of time communicating.Texting, emailing, confirming schedules, following up with no-shows—it’s a big part of the job, and it never really stops.

🔧 The Setup

Why is this role needed?The ministry is growing, and managing volunteers has become too complex for pastors alone to handle effectively. This role allows the team to care for people while keeping operations running smoothly.Onboarding support:You’ll be trained by the Family Ministry Pastor and supported by the Kids Ministry team. You’ll also be given access to tools and templates to make scheduling and communication easier.Key collaborators:Family Ministry Pastor, Veritas Kids staff, Sunday morning volunteers, and Veritas families.Team structure:You’re part of the Veritas Kids team and report directly to the Family Ministry Pastor. You’ll also work closely with Sunday team leads and volunteer team leaders.

🧭 Environment & Culture

Work hours:Part-time (20 hours/week). Weekday hours are flexible, but Sunday morning presence is required. Some remote work is possible during the week.Workspace:Shared office space is available at the church, and you’ll often work in kids ministry classrooms or behind the scenes on Sundays.Culture quirks:We’re relational, but we care deeply about operational excellence.You’ll often shift between relational ministry moments and detailed admin work.The pace picks up fast on Thursdays through Sundays.Your role may be unseen by most, but it’s essential to everything we do in Veritas Kids.
