What was life like before you met Jesus?

I was walking away from God and thought I did not need God to save me and I could do it all on my own. I would struggle with lying because I was seeking approval from people. I did not go to God’s Word for guidance and I was lost in my sins, thinking I could do it on my own.

How did you meet Jesus?

Last October I gave my life to Christ because I learned that the only way to be righteous was through Him. Ephesians 2:8-9 states, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” I want to publicly proclaim that I am no longer a slave to my sin and that I have been saved by Jesus.

After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?

Now I know that I am a sinner, but I have Jesus who helps me when I fail. Now I know that I do not need to seek people’s approval, but only God’s. “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me,” Galatians 2:20.
