What was life like before you met Jesus?

I felt the need for ungodly things like I felt the need for money, peer approval, and the want for other things that didn’t benefit my faith. In my life, I was lacking, and I had been raised in a family of firm believers, so I’ve always known of God, but I’ve just never had a pull to him, and I now have a desire to know him.

How did you meet Jesus?

I was raised In a family of strong believers who all went to church and had a good connection with God and one day at church a sentence stood out to me in the sermon and it was while many have head knowledge where they know and believe in Jesus and that he died for our sins to be saved we need heart knowledge where we express our belief to God and show our faith and truly believe Jesus is our lord and savior and by having heart knowledge we can have eternal life. So after hearing that I realized all I had was head knowledge and I wasn’t following him like I should and so I’ve been on a path to get to know and love him more and for me I believe I need to be beptized to help me express and show my love for God and continue my path in faith.

Although I have always known about Christ, when I started to get my life turned back around, I went through the loss of a relationship. And in that time, I turned to Christ. I knew that if it happened, God had a good reason for it and that something better was coming. A verse that helped me a lot was James 1:2-3 “Count it all joy brothers when you meet trials of various kinds. For you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness”. This really stood out to me because I felt my faith had been tested, so I took the opportunity to thrive in my faith, bringing me closer to Christ. Jesus had saved me I have been repenting and begging for forgiveness from God, and I believe that the sin that separated me from God was washed away by Jesus dying on the cross for my sins, and it then brought me closer to God and as I sin, I beg for forgiveness and then try my very hardest to put that sin to death and grow in my faith.

After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?

Now, I feel the need to try to spread the gospel and share my faith with others so they may turn to him because he saved me. Everyone sins, but in the end, it’s how you approach that sin and how you repent and put it to death, and by doing so, you are saved and have a spot in heaven with God. John 5:24 says, “Very truly I tell you whoever hears my word and believes in him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.”
