What was life like before you met Jesus?

For as long as I can remember, my family attended church and I went to Sunday School, so I don’t remember a time I didn’t know about Jesus.

How did you meet Jesus?

That being said, I began to see the fruit of my faith when I went to the Marine Corps at 18 years old. I didn’t know anyone and felt really alone in California. Later, when I went to the Philippines, I felt even more alone, especially when I had guard duty in the jungle. That’s when my relationship with the Lord, specifically the blessing of prayer, really became important to me.

After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?

As I have matured and gotten older, I have become more open to change and less likely to be critical of others. God has opened my eyes and my heart to see all people without prejudice.
