Before Jesus Changed My Life

Growing up, I didn't really have any exposure to Church or the Gospel. Then, when I was 19 years old, my brother started working for a Christian gentleman. He was introduced to the Gospel and started going to a Bible study. Shortly after, we started going to church, and I accepted Christ into my life.

How Jesus Changed My Life

I felt like a good kid growing up, but after accepting Christ, I realized my shortcomings, how even our small sins separate us from Christ, and that being a good person doesn't get us into Heaven. Jesus died on the cross for Humanity. God chose us and presented us with an opportunity to know him through his grace and mercy. He meets us where we are, and we choose him to wipe our sin away and claim us as His. The Holy Spirit is working on me daily, refining me with His mindset and character. Every day I glean from His Word to respond as Christ would and not my own sinful nature. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

My Life After Jesus Saved Me

Christ gives me a peace and eternal hope. I trust the Lord to lead and guide me as he uses me to help build His kingdom. When people and worldly things let me down, I know that I can always trust Jesus! Knowing I have eternal life through Jesus Christ gives me a reason to get up each day and give my best knowing I am doing it for Him and not myself. I am getting baptized to continue my walk with Christ and to show my commitment to Him in our community.
