Before Jesus Changed My Life

Before Jesus changed my life I was proclaiming faith that I did not live out. I sought fulfillment and identity in the ways of the world, and I was never truly satisfied, all the while saying that I was a Christian. I knew that Jesus had lived, died, and rose again, and yet I lived in complete unrepentant sin and never felt convicted of it. I was sitting there knowing God’s commands and consciously running from them because I wanted to live according to my own desires.

How Jesus Changed My Life

Jesus changed my life by putting people in my life that showed me what it means to really love the Lord. These guys cared for me, met with me, and taught me what being a follower of Christ truly looked like. They told me the good news of God in a way that made me understand it like never before. I went to the Salt fall retreat in 2023, and there I felt convicted that I was not living in a way that was glorifying God and I needed to change that. I confessed my sin for the first time while I was there and the gospel just became beautiful to me. I started to live my life seeking Jesus first and foremost, treasuring Him above all else. The gospel is God's plan for man's redemption. Ephesians 2:8 says "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith" John 3:18 says "Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son." God sent Jesus in human form to earth in order to be a sacrifice against our sins. The wages of our sin is death, but it is by the grace of God that we have been saved, which we can attain through our faith that Jesus lived, died, and then rose again

My Life After Jesus Saved Me

My life after Jesus saved me has been nuts. I find my full identity in our Lord Jesus Christ, and I know that turning to the things of this world will never satisfy me, but the love that God has for me always will. I live my life seeking to glorify God and His teachings, proclaiming His name, and sharing the gospel because I know that salvation is through Him alone. I know that I am saved because I believe in Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, that He was sent by God as a sacrifice for my sins so that I might not live in eternal separation from God, but live forever in heaven with Him. It’s like how John says in John 3:16-17, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”
