Before Jesus Changed My Life

Before Jesus changed my life, I placed my faith in how others around me would view me, what they thought of me, and how I could make them like me better. After a while, I began to feel empty and lost as an individual. I felt I did not know who I was or what my purpose was.

How Jesus Changed My Life

Jesus changed my life by placing people into my life who saw the great Jesus can do. I was sitting all alone at the beginning of college at a volleyball game, and Bree came up to me and asked if I was interested in going to SALT kickoff. Before coming to college I knew I wanted to grow my faith, but I feel that interaction was Jesus showing me he is here for me and will always be here for me, even when I feel the most alone. After that, I attended a SALT service and felt convinced of a message about how placing our faith in Jesus can help us live a better life and gives us a purpose for our lives. We should strive to have an overflow to show others the great Jesus can do. I now know that the gospel is the news of who Jesus is, what he has done, and how that changed everything. Romans 6:22-23 says, “But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

My Life After Jesus Saved Me

My life after Jesus saved me is filled with a peace and purpose I never knew before. I used to feel lost and alone, trying to find satisfaction in things that always fell short. But now, as a true believer in Christ, I am confident in who I am and secure in His unchanging love. I have a hope that cannot be shaken because it is rooted in Jesus, who died and rose again to give me life. In times of need, I turn to Him through prayer and His Word, which guides me like a lamp in the darkness. Scriptures like Philippians 4:6-7 remind me to “be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” This verse reminds me to trust Him with every worry and care, knowing that He is my source of strength and peace. Because of Jesus, I no longer fear the future or eternity. I have complete assurance of eternal life, knowing that through Him, I am saved, loved, and forever secure.
