Before Jesus Changed My Life

When I was four, my Sunday School Teacher encouraged me to ask the Holy Spirit to come into my life. Since this happened so early in my life, I have no memory of my life before God. Even though I cannot remember who my Sunday School Teacher was I feel a great deal of gratitude toward her.

How Jesus Changed My Life

My childhood years were difficult. I had two loving parents who took me to church regularly, but my Mother suffered from bipolar disease. This made my childhood flux between stability and instability. I learned at an early age to trust God with my needs. I have put my faith in the Holy Spirit, and I am able to enjoy the peace that comes with doing so. I fully believe the Gospel, which is the good news of God forgiving our sinful nature through the life, death, & resurrection of Jesus as made clear in John 3:16

My Life After Jesus Saved Me

During the pandemic, we watched Church from our home. Although our Church had an online service, we would sometimes watch other Church services. My husband and I started watching Veritas online, and this has had a profound impact on our lives. It was hard to leave the friends and comfort of our former Church family, but God was calling us to make this change. Attending Veritas has made me a better Christian. It has given me a desire to learn at a deeper level and apply what I learn. I think of this Church change as a gift from God. It had given me a desire to recommit to God through adult baptism and to follow God’s leading with greater intention.
