Before Jesus Changed My Life

My senior year of high school is when I really started to realize my need for God. Things were not going well in sports. I was placing my identity in sports and was finding pleasures in worldly desires. This left me feeling depressed and hopeless.

How Jesus Changed My Life

My freshman year was when I started to truly follow God. I started attending Salt events and began understanding who God truly is. This led me to start reading my Bible and praying every day. Philippians 4:17-22 reminds me that I need to put to death my old self and fully live in Christ. God help me put to death things of this world. I no longer need the pleasures of this world to make me happy.

My Life After Jesus Saved Me

After turning to Christ, I no longer find my worth in worldly things (such as my performance in sports). I find my worth in Jesus. I am a lot happier now. I feel like a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I no longer need to “perform” to be loved. God will never leave me or forsake me. I have great comfort in that.
