Excited to start our new book study on January 20! We are going to be going through two Old Testament books, Ezra and Nehemiah. Two different books in your Bible, but these were originally a unified work that tell us the amazing story of the Israelites return from Babylonian captivity back to Jerusalem. This was a time of revival or at least attempts at revival, with some pretty cool things that happened and then some discouraging things that happened too. As we look at their experience we will see that it has a lot to teach us about revival in our day.
How incredible would it be to see a revival in Cedar Rapids! To see people confessing and walking away from sin back to faithfulness to God. Renewed commitments to know and follow God’s Word. A rekindled love for God. To begin to see that, where do we even begin?
I am so looking forward to going through this together. As we prepare for this study through Ezra and Nehemiah be praying that God would do something in you, something in us. Specifically, that our devotion to him would deepen. Below is a short video to to help set the stage for our study.
