What was life like before you met Jesus?

Before meeting and accepting Jesus I struggled with my faith and because of that, I struggled with a lot of anxiety and fear about the future. I often struggled with the idea that I was not good enough especially as I was going through the ups and downs of competing in sports and going through troubled relationships. Even as I tried my best to remain positive I was missing a lot of comfort.

How did you meet Jesus?

I first met Jesus when I was a kid and we consistently went to church every Sunday. However, after our church moved locations it became more difficult for us to attend, and eventually, we only went on Easter and Christmas. Then God brought a very special person into my life. I have been attending Veritas Church with my current boyfriend for almost a year now and I am now someone who looks forward to going to church every Sunday to praise and worship God for all that he has done for me. I truly believe that this person and Veritas Church are in God's plan for me. This was his way of bringing me back to him. Just believing that gives me so much trust in God and His plan for my future. Psalm 9:10 - “And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.”

After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?

God has given me comfort in ways I didn't know were possible. Every Sunday, when I go to church God provides me with the truth I need to hear. Hearing of Jesus and what he has done for me has led me to want to learn more about the gospel, it has led me to purchase my own Bible and my own book studies to try and understand God's word even more. I no longer fear the future because I know that it is in God’s hands and that is something that brings me joy and happiness. I also realize that my future belongs with God in heaven and that is what brings me the ultimate feeling of comfort. “And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” 1 Peter 5:10
