What was life like before you met Jesus?
I had a lot of anxiety about my life and my sins and felt like I had nowhere to turn. I went to church when I was little and always knew of Jesus but never had a true understanding of what He did for us. I knew He died for my sins so I could be with Him in heaven but didn’t think it could be that easy. I thought I had to be perfect and never sin to earn a spot in heaven. I didn’t think it could be so simple as to just be saved from God’s judgment by Jesus Christ.
How did you meet Jesus?
One of my old coworkers asked if I wanted to attend church with her one day and I started going since. I felt more understood and heard. One day she pulled up Romans 10:9, it says, “If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” I had a revelation that it truly was that simple and how great of a gift I was given, despite my sins.
After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?
I learned that Jesus truly died for my sins. I felt that my life had more meaning and that I wanted to change my ways and motives to honor Him. He gave us an amazing gift and that I need to and want to follow Him and continue pursuing my relationship with the Lord.
