What was life like before you met Jesus?
Before I met Jesus, my identity was in baseball. Growing up, all I could really remember were my parents fighting, and I turned to baseball for comfort. I eventually hurt my arm playing college ball, and my world came crashing down.
How did you meet Jesus?
I was walking on campus at my old school and was handed a New Testament. When I started reading, I felt peace like I’ve never felt before. Psalm 34:4 describes that seeking the LORD will deliver you from your fears, and boy did it ever! I started to find joy in life again, knowing God’s got my steps guided.
After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?
Once I believed in the gospel, it changed my entire perspective. My identity was no longer in baseball but rather in Jesus Christ. Now, I’m seeking ways to honor and glorify him through baseball and life instead of myself. One of my favorite verses in the Bible is 2 Corinthians 5:21, which says, “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” Jesus bore my sin so God can see me as righteous and gifted eternity with Him. There’s no greater love than that!
