What was life like before you met Jesus?
I was baptized as an infant because I grew up in the Christian Reformed Church. In junior high, our church had a class for kids that wanted to take the Lord’s Supper. In that class, I learned that I was a sinner, that I needed to repent of my sin, and that Jesus took my sin on the cross and set me free from it. I realized I need Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. I was hanging around non-Christians, but I learned that I needed more Christian friends.
How did you meet Jesus?
I said a prayer and repented of my sin and I could tell I was changed. I love John 3:16 - “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
After being saved by Jesus, what is your life like now?
My life has changed since I was saved, but sometimes it is hard to believe that God is still with me all the time, but I know he is. I love serving people and teaching kids about God's love. I love Romans 6:23 which says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”
